Total employment in November 2022 was 11,430,000, which increased by 20,000(+0.17%) form the previous month’s level; however, it decreased by 47,000(-0.41%) from that of the previous year.
The unemployment rate declined by 0.03 percentage points to 3.61 percent in November 2022; the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained constant at 3.64 percent. The number of unemployed persons was 428,000 in November 2022, a decrease of 3,000(-0.69%) and 8,000(-1.81%) from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.
Labor force participation rate rose by 0.02 percentage points to 59.20 percent in November 2022; moreover, it rose by 0.09 percentage points from that of the previous year.
