Total employment in March 2022 was 11,440,000, which decreased by 18,000(-0.16%) form the previous month’s level; moreover, it also decreased by 81,000(-0.70%) from that of the previous year.
The unemployment rate rose by 0.01 percentage points to 3.66 percent in March 2022; the seasonally adjusted unemployment declined by 0.03 percentage points to 3.70%. The number of unemployed persons was 435,000 in March 2022, it increased by 1,000(+0.19%) but decreased by 4,000(-0.91%) from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.
Labor force participation rate rose by 0.02 percentage points to 59.19 percent in March 2022; moreover, it also rose by 0.05 percentage points from that of the previous year.
