Total employment in October 2018 was 11,460,000, which increased by 11,000(+0.10%) from the previous month; moreover, it increased by 78,000 (+0.68%) from that of the previous year.
The unemployment rate fell by 0.01 percentage points to 3.75 percent in October 2018, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained the same at 3.70 percent. The number of unemployed persons was 446,000 in October 2018, which decreased by 1,000(-0.22%) from the previous month, however, it increased by 3,000(+0.67%) from that of the previous year.
Labor force participation rate was 59.08 percent in October, which rose by 0.03 percentage points from the previous month; moreover, it rose by 0.17 percentage points from that of the previous year.
