Total employment in July 2014 was 11,091,000, which increased by 29,000(+0.26%) from the previous month and 107,000(+0.98%) from that of the previous year.
The unemployment rate rose by 0.10 percentage points to 4.02 percent in July 2014, in contrast, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell by 0.02 percentage points to 3.95 percent. The number of unemployed persons was 464,000 in July 2014, which increased by 13,000(+2.81%) from the previous month but decreased by 23,000(-4.71%) from that of the previous year.
Labor force participation rate was 58.63 percent in July 2014, which rose by 0.18 percentage points from the previous month and 0.08 percentage points from that of the previous year.
