What is the civilian population? What is the labor force? What is the non-labor force?

1. Civilian population: Refers to the domestic population aged 15 years & over with the exception of armed forces (current in-service soldiers), those incarcerated, and the missing population, The civilian population includes both the labor force and non-labor force. In the case of foreigners, foreign workers and foreign spouses who have not yet obtained ROC nationality are not part of the domestic population.
2. Labor force: Refers members of the civilian population aged 15 years & over who are able to work, and includes both employed and unemployed persons.
3. Non-labor force: Refers to members of the civilian population aged 15 years & over who do not belong to the labor force, and includes persons who are not working and not seeking a job because they are currently receiving an education or preparing to advance a higher education, managing households, elders, disabled, persons who want to work but not looking for a job, and etc.
