The census collects basic information on the resource distribution, production structure, labor characteristics, capital equipment, and operating status of operators nationwide engaging in agriculture, forestry, fishing, and animal husbandry production and recreational activities; after this information is compiled and subjected to statistical analysis, the resulting statistical items include general overview of agriculture, forestry, fishing, and animal husbandry, labor, the chief types of operations and their changes, land use, crop cultivation, scale of livestock raising operation, the operating situation of agricultural and livestock service enterprises, forest operating area, fishing equipment and operating situation, aquaculture area & equipment and raising situation, and income.
